Learning Curve

Here are some things we have learned over the past 3 weeks:

  • Grandparents are lifesavers! I doubt Matt and I would have survived without the help of Mattie's grandparents who did everything from making dinner to doing dishes to watching Matilda so we could get out of the house.

  • Bouncy seats and swings are among the greatest inventions of our time.

  • Bath time is fun. Ok, Matilda is still in the process of learning this concept. Matt hopes she figures it out quick because he's the one that bathes her and he would like for her to stop screaming the entire time.

  • It is impossible to keep a hat and both socks on Mattie.

  • The no smoking ban is great. This is because we were able to get out & enjoy the Cavs game & dinner at BW3 with Mattie.

  • 2 hours is not a lot of time to get things done or sleep (that's usually how much time I have between feedings).

  • It's difficult to learn how to balance taking care of the house, taking care of Mattie & taking care of myself (although Matt has been a tremendous help).

  • The kitties do not care if Matilda is on your chest, they will still try and get up there too.

  • Finally, one of the most precious and wonderful things in this world is having your baby sleep on your chest.
