Progress
I am happy to report that although there has been crying and whining, Miranda has attended ballet class the past 2 weeks. Last week was better than the week before, so I am keeping my fingers crossed it continues to get better. Once in class, she seems to really enjoy it and her teacher always reports she did a great job. Maybe one day she will be up on stage like her sister. Speaking of which, here is the video of Matilda's "Music Box Waltz."

What Happend on the Car Ride?!?!
I have been asking myself this question repeatedly since this past Saturday. The previous Saturday I decided to ask if we could sign Miranda up for the summer session of ballet class (they usually do not start until they are three at the school). The teacher said we would give it a try and found some shoes and leotard for Miranda to borrow. As you can see from the picture, she was all about it! After class she was super excited. Her teacher said she did fantastic (even better than some of the older girls), so we signed her up. The following week, Miranda kept telling everyone about her ballet class and she was super excited to buy her ballet shoes, leotard and new dance bag. On Saturday, when we were getting ready at home, she was ready to go, even putting on her ballet shoes (which we made her take off for the ride to class). I have no idea what happened on that car ride, but when we arrived at ballet class, Miranda refused to put on her ballet shoes and go to class! I tried more than a few times to get her to go, but she would have none of it. (Truthfully, I think my disappoint stems from the fact that if she goes to class too, I will have 45 minutes to myself, as Matilda's class is at the same time.) We are keeping our fingers crossed that this was a fluke and that this upcoming weekend she will be ready to go (and I will get a few minutes to read a book without pictures!).

Up, Up and Away
I am happy to report that our first airplane trip was a success! I think both Matt & I were pleasantly surprised at how well our flights to and from Florida went with the girls. It was a tad bit disappointing that on the way there we were stuck in the very last row, with no window, but thankfully we had window seats on the way home. Our trip was filled with long, fun days. There was swimming, finding sand dollars in the ocean (Miranda does NOT like to step in seaweed, Tilda does NOT like saltwater in her eyes - I agree with both of them), putt-putt, more swimming, ice cream, shopping and more swimming. Both girls are complete fishes and LOVE to swim. Tilda didn't even have to wear any type of floatation device in the pool. Although the vacation was a week long, it still didn't seem to be long enough. The girls are already asking when we are going on our next airplane trip!
