Low Standards
I realized that my standards for what qualifies as a good weekend have drastically lowered when Matt asked me Sunday night if I had a good weekend and I replied, "Yes, no one vomited." I seem to recall a time in my life when vomiting on a weekend did not necessarily indicate a bad weekend. At any rate, it appears that the stomach bug has finally left our family so we can start enjoying the warmer weather. Speaking of enjoying the warmer weather, yesterday was a big day for Matilda - her Daddy took her training wheels off. Of course she did not master riding her bike in one night, but I am pretty sure she will be riding up and down the street sooner rather than later.

Soooooo Close
We thought we had managed to avoid the stomach virus that has been circulating around, but alas we we were not so fortunate. :( Miranda was lucky enough to have a very mild case earlier last week, while poor Matilda had a more moderate case over the weekend. Thankfully, Matilda is old enough to follow proper vomiting procedures (into a container rather than the floor, bed, couch, etc.). Matt and I are keeping our frequently and thoroughly washed fingers crossed we are not next! Here's a picture from happier, healthier times:

Here We Are!
I am not going to blame my lack of posting on the craziness of life, the spring time change (I could REALLY use that hour back!), or my forgetfulness. Rather, I am blaming it on The Walking Dead. Matt got me hooked on the show (which if you know my history with haunted houses, is kind of crazy) and instead of posting on the blog, I was watching the zombie apocalypse. Alas, the season is over and won't be back until October, so MAYBE I will be better about updating the blog. ;)
The rest of February was filled with the usual fun times including Valentines and well checks. Matilda's 5 year well check/pre-kindergarten exam went very well. Here are the stats: 44.5" (85th %ile) and 39 lbs 12 oz (51st %ile). Of course there were shots, but I am not sure which of Tilda's reactions were more dramatic, the one when receiving the shots or the one when I removed the band-aids!
March was also filled with the usual craziness and fun times. We officially registered Matilda for Kindergarten and Miranda started saying fun things like "I don't feel so well. My back hurts." Matt & I decide the family needed a little down time, so we surprised the girls with a trip to an indoor water park. We all had a lot of fun and now the girls ask on an almost daily basis when we are going back.
Easter was very busy, but lots of fun. Much to Mommy & Daddy's happiness, the girls each received headphones in their baskets for their LeapPads, which has made car rides much more tolerable! And here the pictures of some of the fun times (I tried to restrain myself and not post too many, defiantly the negative side of not posting more often):
