Three Year Stats

Last week we had Matilda's 3 year well check, which went well over all. Here are the stats:

Weight: 30 lbs (43rd %ile)
Height: 38 inches (73rd %ile)
Shots: 2
Ear Infection: gone

Both Matilda & I were surprised that she had to receive two shots. She did pretty well considering she had little warning. And even though it has been a week since the shots, she still asks for an ice pack to put on her boo-boos from the shots.

I was also surprised that they ordered a cholesterol test for her and gave us her BMI along with her height & weight. I'm having a really hard time wrapping my mind around these last two things. I can't believe that Matilda's only 3 years old & already we are worrying about such things! (Well, thankfully we don't have to worry just yet because her BMI was great & I haven't taken her for the blood work yet.) I guess there's always something to worry about when you're a parent, I just didn't think cholesterol would be one at this age!

Still Here!

Yes we are still are here. Thankfully February is a short month cause thus far it has been a crazy one! It started off great with Matilda's 3rd birthday. Unfortunately it quickly took a turn for the worse as her birthday now seems to be accompanied by snow (last 2 birthdays) and illness (last 3 birthdays). We are hoping this trend does not continue for the rest of her life! Matilda had her first temperature over 104F and her first ear infection. Once she seemed to get better, Miranda of course got sick. Thankfully it appeared to be a cold and was not accompanied with a high fever. So, two weeks of sick kids really took a lot out of us especially since we are all still adjusting to mommy being back at work. On the plus side, Matilda is getting better about attending school. I'm guessing the fun she had on Valentine's Day really helped the cause. Hopefully now things will get back to normal and I can be a little bit better at keeping this thing updated!
