That's A Lot of Print

...was my first reaction to the picture of Mindy and me at her baby shower. Apparently 2 pregnant women should not wear printed dresses when taking belly bump pictures. I have to admit, I quite enjoyed not having to pose for this week's picture by myself.

This week I had my routine check up and baby was not very cooperative (I'm sure it's a sign of things to come). Baby seemed to not appreciate having their heartbeat listened to and kept kicking as soon as the nurse was able to find the heartbeat. I guess you really do not need to hear the heartbeat when you can see your belly moving and hear a loud thump on the monitor.

Matilda continues to be a toddler. She still does not really understand that a new baby is on the way, although she will tell people that there is a baby in mommy's belly.

Who Needs Sleep?

Last week was rough for Matt and me in regards to sleeping (I'm sure it's a sign of things to come). My sinus congestion made it difficult to sleep and lead to much tossing & turning and apparently talking in my sleep. This in turn lead to Matt not being able to sleep well either. It appears that Tilda was the only one in the house who slept well, but that took her having her legs under her pillow and her feet through the headboard (and yes, she insists on having all those books & other items on her bed too).

Firecracker

It appears that our little firecracker, Matilda, is not a fan of real firecrackers just yet as she hid behind my chair during a small fireworks show. The 4th was bitter-sweet for Matt as for the first time in a looooong time, he did not work any professional firework shows. However, next week is the last week of his school semester, so he had to spend much of his time doing school work. :(
