Good Mornings

The past couple of weekends have been beautiful, thus we have been able to enjoy a few good mornings outside. We've been able to eat breakfast, play in the sandbox while mommy & daddy drink coffee or read pregnancy books, read stories and enjoy snacks. Hopefully this trend of enjoyable mornings continues through the summer!

And So It Begins...Again!

That's right, sometime around November 9th Matilda is going to become a big sister! Thus far this pregnancy has been quite different than the first. I had a lot more "morning" sickness and things of that nature. However, somethings are not so different...I still felt stupid posing for this picture and can't believe how high maternity pants come up past your bellybutton. Yes, I have already busted out the maternity pants, but I have to admit, I did miss the wonderfully expanding waistband of the pants.

We've started trying to explain to Matilda that she's going to be a big sister, but we don't think she quite gets it as she wanted to go to the store to get the baby. Ahh, if only it was that easy!

Lovin Daddy and Cake

While we have always known that Matilda loves her Daddy, we did not know the extent to which she loves cake until Matt's birthday on Friday. When we mentioned that we would not be taking the leftover cake home with us, Matilda went into a complete meltdown! Perhaps the meltdown was more due to it being late at night and her coming down from her sugar high than the cake itself. I hope this is the case since I'm starting to see trend with these posts discussing Matilda's love for desserts and not veggies!

Still Lovin Ice Cream

We have come to find out that the the long winter did not diminish Matilda's love of ice cream (or whipped cream). A few weeks ago we told her we were going bye-byes to go get ice cream, so now every time we tell her we're going out she wants to know if it's for ice cream. She even asked for ice cream at 8 o'clock in the morning (which actually doesn't sound like that bad of a breakfast to me)!
