Matilda has finally started walking more than she crawls! It's so strange to turn around and see her on two legs coming at you. Most people have told me that "it's all over now" since she started walking, but so far she doesn't seem to be into much more than she was before (with the exceptions of doorknobs and items on top of counters and tables). I think what's worse than her walking is her new found independence in terms of what she will and will not eat. Dinner hasn't been quite as enjoyable lately as Mattie lets us know what she doesn't want to eat on any particular day by screaming and launching her food or spoon or plate onto the floor. Thank goodness for the Swiffer wetjet!

What's That?
Here's a video of Matilda trying to drink from her cup. In it she says her most common phrase, "What's that?" We hear those words all day long as she points to anything and everything and asks that question. And if you're wondering, there's no lid on the cup because she hasn't quite figured out how to use a sippy cup just yet. And to give her a little credit, I tried it and it's not as easy as it looks if the stopper is in it to prevent spills. Plus it's funny to watch her look of surprise when she accidentally splashes a bunch of water on herself!
