Looks like Mattie will be staring at the back seat for a little while longer, as according to Ohio law she can't be front facing in her car seat until she's at least 20 lbs.

Pasta Time

More Please

As you can see from the two videos, Matilda has learned how to sign more and please! We just need to work on using them in context as she'll sign "more" for just about anything, such as the ceiling fan in the kitchen.

Birthday Party Fun

Thankfully Matilda's fever was gone by Saturday so she could enjoy her party. We were surprised that she really didn't get into smashing her cake, maybe she had a bit of stage fright. Overall, it was a wonderful party!

One Year Old

...And sick! That's right, Matilda entered into her first (or is it second?) year of life with a fever. Thankfully, she hasn't been too awful, just a little more fussy than normal. Let's just hope this isn't any indication of what the rest of the year is going to be like!

Super Sunday

Sunday morning we found that Matilda's second top tooth finally broke through. I was surprised that it was the one right next to the tooth that had already broken through, I figured it would be the same tooth just on the other side.

Sunday got really exciting when Mattie took her first steps! At least we think they count as her first steps as it may have been more momentum from us letting her go then her actually walking. She hasn't really taken any steps on her own since then, but I'm sure she'll be letting go and walking very soon.
